Two championship courses inside Desaru Coast, and one of Malaysia’s most prestigious golf destinations. The Ocean Course — designed by Ernie Els, 27 holes overlooking the South China Sea — is the scenic, bucket-list round; the Valley Course, shaped with Vijay Singh, is the tighter, more technical 18. A genuine reason on its own for golf-minded families to come.

Our independent tip
If you’ve only got one round in you, play the Ocean Course — it’s the Els-designed, sea-view, photograph-everything one. The Valley Course is the better golf test but less of a spectacle. Tee times go early in cooler months, so book ahead.
